Is there some way they'd stand to benefit from a nuclear exchange? Is it a refusal to admit that the US isn't the global hegemon anymore? Or are they just really that stupid and in denial?
I think once someone has lived without experiencing the negative consequences of their actions for long enough they begin to believe there actually are none.
