    Similarly, to this day many post-soviet countries basically have no gender gap for engineering / STEM studies in general (it's basically 50% women or more, like 57% in Lithuania). Thanks to the USSR.

      yeonmi-park in post-soviet countries women are FORCED to do men's jobs. Playing with a barbie doll is illegal. If you pick up a barbie doll the government make you learn to code and murder your whole family.

    Post Soviet countries (and China) have some of the highest rates of home ownership in the world too. And I don't know the proportion but a lot of those don't have mortgages either, the state just gives you the house/apartment.
