Im sorry, but it probably has dangerous seed oils, I need to down a pint of raw bird flu milk now

I don't know what you mean, this method of analysis has worked wonders for Superstonk
I live in the Doom Mines. I mine doom.
Honestly, it's not good for much and the economy has been trash lately, the mine has been flooding and wheat doesn't grow well here. I don't really see it getting much better any time soon.
I was semi-active in some animal liberation circles and the amount of Zionists and "centrists" ("noo don't cut XYZ off, they are a good activist, can't we put politics aside???") is disgusting. But while it has its heart in the right place opposing animal commodification, vegan activism has always been thoroughly lib, so not exactly surprising.
Made me think of Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents. It's a cute children's book by Pratchett where intelligent rats (accidentally enhanced by magic trash at the Unseen University) run "pied piper" scams on unsuspecting villages. I've loved this book for close to two decades now.
He lived with us almost all his life (we adopted him from an "accidental litter" together with his brother who passed away last summer) and has been a good comrade to all other rats he has hung out with, outliving many of them.
Mostly positive. Even my reactionary father is appalled by what is happening in Gaza.
Yeah I know 😔 this is the true cost of PRL having fallen
Yeah no shade of course, I just always put aesthetics over function in my forts
I would love to have one myself, no matter the engine. Such a cool little car
This is so different from the way I normally set up my own stuff, that if I were to take over the fort, I'd spend the whole year just tearing shit down and building it my own way lol. Then the next person would undo my changes, then the next person would change those...
The Steam version does actually change a few things (though to be fair last version I played before the Steam release was 0.40, so maybe they got added to the free version too?) mainly the interface. It's slightly simplified and more user friendly, mouse support is also finally sensible. In general positive changes imo.
Actually, making a fool proof self-sustaining fort is not that difficult, to be honest, especially if it only has to survive a year. You can technically just dig in and wall yourself in, set up a few farms (you need surprisingly few crops to feed your dwarves) and breweries, train a few craftdwarves and the only thing that can kill you at that point is a very unlucky special mood (dwarf that is struck with inspiraion to create a legendary artifact, but if they can't get the resources to make it, they might go berserk) that goes into a death spiral (a killed dwarf causes another to have an outburst of anger, killing another, which makes another start brawling etc), but even those can be managed.
And then, you can just automate most tasks so it runs itself indefinitely.
I think the replika thing is also kind of niche
it's even more blatant with the khajiit in TES
I think Scandinavians are probably the worst when it comes to smugness and self-righteousness. "Humane capital of the world" is an unironically used phrase in Sweden, with them denouncing evil China and Russia while massively benefitting from massive exploitation, both of the third world as well as their own immigrant work force (which they at the same time are extremely racist towards).
🔥🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰🇮🇸🇫🇮🔥 burn them all
at my uni in the student hangout, some guys put up an old soda machine and sold regular soft drinks at slightly above shop price. Convenient, whatever.
But they also had a "mystery drink" button, which could dispense a can not present on other selections, like vanilla coke or dr pepper, low abv beer... or just straight up canned mushrooms. I did get the mushrooms once.
Yea I mean with the shit I've believed before, I don't trust myself enough to think that my current views are pure and good either, so always good to have it pointed out
Poland visibly shaking
I haven't had any big mishaps myself, but I worked in a wafer fab and apparently the person who came in to replace me after I quit, dropped a whole box of wafers like a month into the job. Shit worth like $1M.
That said, massive fault on the company for a lack of better procedures handling those, and afaik the person didn't even lose the job as it was an honest accident.
