He lived with us almost all his life (we adopted him from an "accidental litter" together with his brother who passed away last summer) and has been a good comrade to all other rats he has hung out with, outliving many of them.
He looks like a great ratto, and hopefully he and his brother are having fun somewhere. Rest in peace <3

Made me think of Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents. It's a cute children's book by Pratchett where intelligent rats (accidentally enhanced by magic trash at the Unseen University) run "pied piper" scams on unsuspecting villages. I've loved this book for close to two decades now.
What a sweet little guy. Three years is a real blessing. I still miss my two rats. He looks like he had a wonderful life.
