guess I'm a lot more freeze-peach pilled than most people on this site, I think the social harm done from having a police force be able to arrest people who make silly jokes about d&d mechanics (or, hell, even actual weird porn) far outweighs the theoretical bearfucking. afaik the kid stuff is the only version of this that's had a meaningful impact on people doing horrible shit in real life, and then honestly regular porn probably does far more damage than this (and I wouldn't want to ban that, either). remember that laws don't make a thing not happen, they make a section of society able to beat the shit out of people if they suspect that aforementioned thing is happening. and I'm not even an anarchist! there's plenty of cases where it's reasonable to use organised force to stop people from doing things, I just think it's only justified to stop the production of media in extreme cases

That's not really the way media law works no one would go to jail here. It's like how laws that regulate sugar content in drinks don't result in arrests

you... make a good point, I think I was driven a bit feral by seeing people compare this to fuckin loli elsewhere in the thread. while that is still sometimes how it goes if you're some kinda zine queer and the law has something against you, it's not the case the majority of the time. still, don't think it's worth banning regardless
