I had two dogs genetically likely to have heart murmers. Both lived most of their life with the diagnosis, one died at 15, the other at 12 or 13, cant remember.
It's not the end of the world for them. We basically gave them the same drug as name brand viagra to help their heart somehow.

Thanks! His is only in stage 1 now and the vet said they don't typically start meds until stage 4. Just kinda sucks. Little homie is already 12.
