I had a phase where I’d watch a dozen videos like “what is Maoism”, “democractic processes in Cuba”, and “why is communism based” in a row and never get any other lefty recommendations. Literally one Peterson video and I’m in the pipeline. Anecdotal but I think representative.

So, I guess this image is telling me that whill Zizek can develop thought out arguments with no notes; Peterson has to do the most basic research on the topic in the middle of a debate.

Dude have you not seen this debate? I’m not a huge fan of Zizek but this shit was HILARIOUS. Peterson showed up to debate Zizek about fucking Marxism and his only prep was reading the communist manifesto. That’s like showing up to debate the Pope about Catholicism after reading an issue of daredevil

To back this up, I saw a clip of a livestream he did from his dirty ass room where he is talking to the chat, and he straight up admits he didn’t read any of zizek’s work. He was like “I still have a few hours to prepare,” it was pathetic. He looked really moist. I think he just skimmed through the manifesto, like didn’t even read it in full

Yeh, his performance in the debate makes it clear he did fucking zero prep. I mean, debates are a shitty format but fuck it was funny seeing him embarassing himself.

I think it’s saying that Zizek constantly has a stuffy nose and that’s why his paper is so shiny

If you mean on youtube, best method I know of is this. Only works from the homepage though, not any sidebar recommendations.

Not sure if it uncucks your algorithm, but if you go into your watch history you can delete individual videos from the list.

If you go to a particular channel homepage —> about —> click the flag you should see a “block user” option. Also not sure how effective this is.

Another thing is that if it is presented to you on your homepage (pc), there should be a little button that gives you an option like “don’t recommend this channel to me” this one seems to work the best for me, but the problem is you have to wait for it to show up in your recs, so no preemptive blocking (as far as I know)

Edit- I’ve only ever done these in a browser on a pc (tv app just doesn’t have the options)
