      Slow and painful and fast and painful depending on location. Degradation of governance won’t happen all at once because bureaucracies have lots of inertia

    We’re going to become(probably already are) a zombie empire. Too many other countries and institutions depend on the dollar. A giant zombie mindlessly roaming the land devouring any poor soul that happens to cross paths with it.
