You're voting for the numbers the media has to spin in its election coverage. PSL has a clearer socialist narrative, Green is more likely to actually get covered.

If you prefer to throw tactical voting out and pretend voting is about choosing the best candidate, then, even though PSL is MLs who would laugh at you for thinking that's how liberal democracy works, still vote them because they're slightly better on policies.

PSL is v cool but the numbers they get won't even come to a rounding error in most states they are on the ballot, much less the national #. There will be zero media coverage of them. How often did you hear about the Constitution Party in 2016?

PSL seems to have a level of momentum that the Greens have lacked for decades. I voted for PSL because I believe as a nominally revolutionary party they are closer to the truth than the Greens are as an explicitly electoral party. This not to shit on the Greens. Hawkins is the best candidate they put up in a long time. Arguably better than Nader. I used to be a registered Green. Went to meetings and shit even. They organized a few bus rides for anti-war protests against Bush and Obama. PSL just seems to be free of a lot of the stagnant inertia that the Greens seem to be encumbered by.

At the end of the day though, it's a "fuck you" vote. Any practical analysis of the 2020 electoral outcome will lump Green, PSL, and a lot of write ins together in one basket. What is more important is the work they are doing outside of electioneering, which is where I think PSL wins handily.

Greens are liberals. Who cares if they get more support? They don't even do anything outside of failed electoral campaigns.

PSL's a revolutionary Marxist party. Come on. You gotta.

Sadly, I'm in one of the states that La Riva is not on the ballot or an official write in, so I'll be voting Green this time around. I can't do the hold my nose and vote blue thing again. :whywhywhywhywhy:

The state I live in is bright bleeding florescent Trump parade down Main Street red (like literally this afternoon through my town...and not a small one either). I doubt we're going to even go pink this election. If I vote at all, I'm gonna have to hold my nose at least somewhat. shrugs maybe it's left over lib shit, but it's all I got out here. :soviet-bashful:

I was a green boy until a week before ballot came, and it came out that the greens just neglected to get on a bunch of states' ballots. Ended up voting for La Riva

Your individual vote won’t have any real effect so it doesn’t matter. Vote for whoever you want. There’s no strategic vote because there’s no real coordination on the left.
