I just saw yesterday on Tasting History a story about the naming of Baby Ruth bars and that the claim that it wasn't named after Babe Ruth the ball player was basically a lie to deny him royalties.

So what's the real answer here?

there's a connection to "Lucky Charms" in terms of the marshmallows as well as the phonetics of "LCM", but that's also a kellogg's brand so I don't see how it would affect licensing. it may be more of a riff

There's some guy or thing famous only in Australia, perhaps only in 90's Australia, with the initials LCM that Kellogg's doesn't want to pay royalties to, or would prefer consumers don't associate with their brand.

Considering the anti-gooner (weird religious shit tbf) origins of Kellogg's, not surprised

This box feels... Australian? Seems like the kind of thing that would be amerikkkan slop but calling rice krispies 'rice bubbles', shortening chocolate to choc, colours and flavours, weight in grams.

I don't really. There's a popular (or formerly popular?) home made variety called White Christmas that uses copha (kinda like coconut butter) instead of gelatin, though some recipes add milk powder and/or white chocolate
