A series of intercepted phone calls played during her appearance before the commission revealed that Maguire had told the premier that he potentially stood to make hundreds of thousands of dollars if land owned by the racing heir Louise Waterhouse near the site of the new western Sydney airport was rezoned.

The payment would have been enough to pay off “about half” of his $1.5m personal debt, Maguire told Berejiklian in one phone call.

She responded: “I don’t need to know about that bit.”

IT'S JUST PERSONAL YOU GUYS. NITHING CORRUPT HERE.

Our media sucks so bad. From the reporting I've seen thought this was just an affair. Another dumb "scandal" where talking heads pretend like they or anyone else cares about others sex lives. Instead it's just how they're spinning this to avoid the corruption angle.

I know. The phone calls literally point out that she knew about corruption. The media focused on her fucking him and all of her political colleagues saying "lol, personal relationship problems. Nothing to see here"
