Dozens gathered on Veterans Day at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park in Maryland’s Dorcester County for a formal ceremony making Tubman a one-star brigadier general in the state’s National Guard.

This actually seems insulting lol. She was like a sort of underground resistance fighter and they're giving her the lowest ranked general in the national guard.

Harriet Tubman is a hero but nowadays everything is fixed and political violence is not allowed.

She fought for the Union during the US Civil war. Ran spy networks, lead at least one raid in the confederate territory with a couple of steam gunships and a lot of soldiers.

She was kind of ridiculously bad ass. Less nice old lady, more Solid Snake.

She is indeed a badass that should be learned about in school alongside every abolitionist hero but this is a straight up
