uh, american pickups/"trucks" (it's a fucking ute ffs) are starting to be pretty widely called "yank tanks" in australia and widely derided - sometimes deliberately scratched up

not downplaying the racism of the r*cer term, but anti-kkkrackoid sentiment is starting to spread sicko-crowd

          based baby suzukis

the Ute being an australian automotive cultural touchstone and something we use to fiercely shit on yankoids for is a weird one, might be worth an effortpost sometime

It looks weird to me though, as I actually am regularly around pickups that are meant to get dirty, so i see “car in front, flatbed in back” and get confused thinking of a regular car with construction site level dust everywhere

Buddy, i dont know how you thought “rice rocket” wasnt a term thrown with specific hard feelings in mind. Just because a halfassed reclamation could be said to have been done in the early to mid 00s doesnt mean it wasnt used with the ethnicity of car manufacturer or oftentimes it’s driver in mind.

What a weird thing to say... The world isn't the US yk. Japanese and Korean cars weren't that common even as late as the 80-s. Weird reclamation. People started using the term in the early odds...

"Rice rocket" is aking to calling American cars "Cracker cars".

        Or even worse "N*gger wagons"

You are condensing their entire existence into "the people who eat rice" like it is no big deal.
