This is kinda sad, Biden is literally vetting republicans and running as the “guy that beat the socialist,” Bernie is already campaigning for him, what possible leverage could he have? Also, the fucking libs are once again fixated on moderate republicans, so even smiling at Bernie would be seen as counterproductive to their strategy. I don’t see this happening.
he genuinely thinks Biden is his friend it's so sad, you ain't getting shit Bernie those positions are for Goldman Sachs to decide
Alexa play Real Friends by Camila Cabello, acoustic version
The sad part is he'd be a good Labor secretary which is why it'd never happen.
Biden personally might want to give him this, but idk what ghouls will end up running the show
One thing is for sure, Hillary would have never entertained the thought
as far as I understand they get along in person and have known each other for years. I doubt sundowning Biden has any ideological project in his head that prevents him from giving a job he doesn't care about to a guy he likes
i don't get why bernie sanders still thinks he's going to make any kind of difference in electoralism. is he himself completely unaware that he just got completely fucked twice in a row by this fucking thing? i get that it's probably extremely hard to come to the realization that despite your best efforts throughout your whole fucking life, that the entire thing is fucking rigged, but think about the actual difference he could have made if he would have fucking come to that realization. there would be no 'contra' and fucking 'vaush' being able to convince dumb young people that 'really this is in your best interests.' it would have been the time to finally fucking have an actual revolution.
there would have been fucking something.
bernie has in the past advocated for third parties and said the democratic party doesn't give a fuck about you. he himself even switched back to being a fucking independent after 2016.
all he had to do was fucking balls up.
i don't put it past the fucking federal government to have threatened his family.
edit: you didn't even read my fucking post before you down voted it
there would be no ‘contra’ and fucking ‘vaush’ being able to convince dumb young people that ‘really this is in your best interests.’
Goddamn. You just reminded me of how depressingly pathetic that Contrapoints video was. I had been trying to put that out of my mind because I love her.
At the time that meme started, he could have still won.
He did the one thing that ensures you cant win (surrendering), and then endorsed the piece of shit that cheated him and risked his life in virus land campaigning to get him elected.
Senate Dems might actually be happy to get Sanders out of there to stop him from introducing bills they don't want to vote on daily.
I'd say it's miles away from a guarntee. I'd be shocked if he gets anything
He's been the ranking member of that committee for 5 years now
It's likely since he is the ranking member of the Dem caucus on the committee.... the only way he wouldn't be chairman is if Dems don't take the senate.
It is much harder to lead protests against the Biden administration's intent to cut Medicare and Social Security when you are literally in the Biden administration, so this might even be a net negative.
While it would be cool to see him be Labor Sec... he'd lose a lot of power.
If Dems retake the Senate, he's all but guaranteed to be the Chairman of the Budget Committee, and also the Chairman on the Subcommittee on Health
I’m not sure about that, He could stack that department top to bottom with pro union hires and use it to implement policies via executive action that make it easier for labor to organize. That would lay the groundwork for more class based organization which I think could be more powerful than chairing a committee for 2 years (since the Dems will loose the Senate in 2022)
