This last week: Visiting my Mom, Followed by a cop car in a park on a WALKING path. Called Osama. Cops called on me by a Karen on my block (who knows my Mom and has seen me walking with her) because she thought I was eyeing her car suspiciously
My Mom, out of fear put an American flag in front of the house because every other house has one. I fucking hate it being there but being the only brown person on the block is as much as I want her to stick out so: A neighbor , without making eye contact says "An American flag! what is this the white house" Which I am certain he say within earshot of all his white neighbors with Blue lives matter and military flags.
I understand the ambivalence about Biden and would never tell anyone how to vote. I hope leftists saying they are voting for Trump or hoping he will win is just an internet /irony thing. If not I would like to know what those people think solidarity means
I really appreciate that sentiment and being able to vent here. Its definitely a huge minority , the amount of solidarity and courage which leftists have shown in defense of marginalized is a source of profound inspiration. I get confused sometimes as to why people who proudly say they voted for Trump or seem giddy about the prospect of winning are not given the TERF treatment.
