I am once again reminded that a fascist worked out today and I - in fact - did not. With gyms being closed due to Covid and temperatures dropping to discourage jogging, what is a good way to get fit?

If you can stand to lose weight (and most people can), an easy thing to do is track your calorie intake. You don't have to get too intense with it; just google whatever you're eating and the portion size, and add up each day's calories on a spreadsheet. See what you're averaging after a week and then try to step it down. I've found that this also wakes you up to those days where you eat ridiculous amounts of calories (e.g., a big lunch, a big dinner, some snacks throughout the day, and several drinks at night). Just being aware of this stuff can help you cut back wherever it will be easiest for you to do so.

Cardio and weightlifting are great, but unless you're a professional athlete you're not going to come close to outworking a shitty diet. Losing weight will make all your other fitness goals easier and will save your lower body.
