Despite the lib-left flared kids agreeing with OP there is no way high schoolers are actually taught all those academic theories, right? I assume the fact that racism was bad was implied during discussion of To Kill a Mockingbird and the 4chan kid was like "the communist teacher is pushing Cultural Marxism onto me!"

in english class we're currently reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and we had a class-wide "socratic seminar" about the themes of the book and it was the most liberal thing i have ever seen. someone unironically said the mental institution represented Soviet Russia and Nurse Ratched was stalin

Ok, now imagine an entire class like that for 4 semesters and that was what part of my college experience was. College is not for smart people, just wealthy people's children.

Absolutely not. I went through 12 years of SF Bay Area "liberal" public school and I didn't ever even hear the word "Marxism." And if I did it was so small of a blip of a topic it likely only covered the fall of the soviet union.

I learned all about communism/Marx from my russian immigrant friend in highschool, we use to talk about it a lot, but never can I recall shit like that even being spoken about in class

most i was taught about was how "communism when the teacher averages out the class's grades after a test". anyone who says their taught critical race theory in high school is a fucking liar, only time you hear about that shit is when you take like sociology and actual queer studies classes in college

The only time we were taught Marxist lens was in literature class which was seperate from the regular English class.

We didn’t even touch on Marx much during our study of the Russian Revolution.

Maybe? Do they actually teach stuff in suburban schools with funding?

Only way it'd happen is if a teacher went way out of their way to teach that stuff in addition to a normal curriculum.
