Yeah, though that really isn't that uncommon around the world. Do the PCM and PCM-ML support trans rights (I think I remember you being Mexican, disregard if I'm wrong lol)?

CPGB-ML has some other cringe positions too like saying members should try to dress like stereotypical workers lol. It wouldn't surprise me if they were against scottish independence.

The communists of mexico are currently small and only exist in the center of the country so terfs in the party could probably exist.

The things i have read about the CPGB-ML make me think they are larpers

Probably because it's a meme about the North (scarf has Northumbrian flag on it, and guy is wearing a flat cap which is associated with Yorkshire culture) which has had the word "aye" slapped on it to make it seem like it's about Scottish independence

I stole it from Northern Indepedence Party's twitter. It's Northumbrian OC.

Fair enough. "Aye" is also used in the North, as it is in Ireland, its just not as iconic to Northern culture as it is to Scottish, so I assumed it was added later.

Since the referendum, I've swung from a 'No' EU lib to a 'Yes' Socialist.

And I know many, many others who feel similar. It's time for independence!

Most do, sure. But it probably wouldn't happen automatically and would immediately be the new political issue / big question.

Spain would veto them joining anyway because they're scared Catalonia will declare independence.

Unrelated but what is your name a reference to? I remember reading years ago about a small group of poor whites in the Caribbean that are descendant from indentured servants called Red Legs.

catalonian parliament did declare independence, in 2017

the spanish gov and the eu ignored it and basically just said "lol no ur still spain shut up you cant just be independant lolol"

My hope is the EU project will be an obvious failure by the time any agreement could be hammered out.

The name is just two words thrown together. Sounds interesting, I'm going to look into that!

The redlegs are interesting for sure if you want to understand colonialism and "whiteness" as a concept. The thing that sucks is that white supremacists are like half of the people talking about them because of Irish slavery and miscegenation discourse lol.

Oh.. Hey, that's interesting. It uses the same colours....

I would tell NIP this but I don't want to encourage them to make potter content for the cause.

It's not a lock but barring anything catastrophic holding back growth of the party I genuinely see it following something like the Brexit Party's trajectory for early growth followed by the SNP's trajectory for late growth.

A slight lead in the polls and major, major dissatisfaction in both the Tories (all scum) and Labour ( some scum) in Westminster have people questioning it's role in Scottish people's lives. A back to back botched COVID response and Brexit will be enough to tip it in YES' favor. A new ref hasn't been called, yet, but the call will grow as the SNP wins more seats and the YES in polls continue to grow. If Westminster denies a ref, I really cannot see how it doesn't grow the YES vote.
