        theyre both round, green blobbets that come sheathed in a veggie pod. theyre legumes that get used as an ingredient in meals, but also as a crunchy snack food.

        the only meaningful difference is the texture and flavour they have. peas are a softer and sweeter blandness, while edamame is firmer with a richer nuttier flavour.

            🙄 the difference in texture and flavour is extremely minimal.

            go take some raw unseasoned peas and edamame and cook them in the exact same way and then tell me theyre super duper different. they arnt.

                because a small difference in texture and flavour of a base ingredient makes a big difference in a finished product.

                half a teaspoon of salt vs a whole teaspoon etc. can make a big difference in an end product, depending in what youre cooking
