I'd like to purchase a firearm but they don't exactly let you keep them in your dorm room lol. This campus also doesn't let you keep guns with the campus police anything (not that I'd really want to do that tbh)
Honestly I would just not do it. Really not worth the risk that comes with it. Wait until you graduate if you don't have somewhere off campus that you can legally and safely store it.
Don't fuck up your education just to pack heat. The chances of you having to use it is pretty far out there*, and even if you do have to use it the chances of you not Fucking Something Up, is still pretty shit. You're probably not John Wayne.
Once you graduate get an armoury, but don't be foolish about this now.

Usually you know ahead of time when the dorm checks happen so you just find someplace to temporarily store them or just take them
Some shooting ranges have lockers, some police stations will store private guns in their armory, but I wouldn't trust either of them. Better to hold off.
