A new update is coming do Disco Elysium. What's different:

Every line is now voice acted

Coming to consoles (ps4 and ps5 in March, switch in the summer)

New quests and areas

Other things?

Also it's a free update to everyone who has it already. I'd recommend picking it up if you don't have it already. 13/10.

Haha, was just reading a comment here a week or two ago about how it not being fully voice acted gave it more ability to have flavourful dialogue (as opposed to like Fallout 4 vs earlier fallout games for example).

Yeah I honestly didn't like the voice acting for a lot of the characters. The union boss had a very timid reedy voice, when I expected a kind of gregarious patronizing tone from the writing. Matt Christman was genuinely the best voice actor, imo. But DE is such a great game on every other front that even its flaws have a kind of charm to them, and I'm super excited for more content.

If they ever sold the ushanka from the game I'd be all over it.

Exciting, I wonder if they've gotten more lines from the dry boys for this one too

I for one am waiting for the Russian translation. A lot of my friends want to play the game, but don't know English well enough.

is it fully fully voice acted? so your skills and when you're talking to things like the mailbox or is it only fully voiced for living characters?

I think it's only for living characters. Could be your skills too, but that's not apparent in the trailer.

not entirely sure how i feel about that honestly. i already have voices in my head for them that i like, but i trust za/um to do it well.

        thanks for the update :Care-Comrade:

Not a problem! It'll definitely be interesting to see how ZA/UM wanted the players to interpret the skills.

I got it to run decently a few months ago on proton, i'd give it another try

That doesn't necessarily help mac users much; D3D vulkan support on Mac OS (MoltenVK) is pretty poor, and Disco Elysium ran so well on Linux from day one due to dxvk.

You sons of bitches! I just started playing it on pc because I was convinced it would never come out on switch. Luckily I didn't pay for it. I'll hold off.
