Saw this and immediately made this one. I already know I'm gonna get bullied. Please do it, I need a good bullying if I'm ever to be cool. 😤

I'm still learning. Currently reading "The Unbearable Whiteness of Milk". Got me fucked up so far.

For real the alternatives that exist are good now, and useful as a pipeline while learning better recipes.

Unless you are strapped for cash, do yourself a favor and start switching over everything to easy replacement products much sooner rather than later.
It is one of those things where, in hindsight, you'll be glad that you did it. It takes time finding what products you like, and there is lots of variation between brands.
Some of the cheap stuff is really good but you have to find it first.

If you get to a place where consuming any animal products makes you severely hate yourself, is better to already know what food there is that you like.
Much easier to sate or resist the craving for blood and milk when you already know something that tastes better or scratches the same itch.

I legit have an old bottle of iron pills in my cabinet, for some previous medical thing. (don't take too many the body cannot excrete it)
It makes me happy sometimes, how to be a bloodmouth without killing things... i swear half of carnism is just that (subconscious) feeling of power and dominance gets people hard.

It can be good to have like backup meals, so if cooking something new goes to shit, you can at least have soup or something that's previously frozen.

personally i think eating fish is more ethical than other meats, but it's definitely just as bad for the environment if not worse. not that i judge anyone's personal diet

inb4 "no that's different" thought terminating cliche.
though to be fair eating human children is an even closer comparison.

check the name and rules of the com, we definitely judge people's personal diets here. and no, eating fish is not any more or less ethical than eating other animals when viable alternatives to both are available.

My bad I didn't even realize what community I was on, I just came from all and I tend to be very careful with my wording when I assume there's non-vegans around as I've offended them in the past
