  • I dug a little more and the report seems to be looking at unnecessary deaths, among many other factors. America is also much less densely populated than Europe and I assume has some inherit advantages to fighting a pandemic.

The report is here if you want to critique it, but it seems very accurate and is from one of the best known medical journals: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)32545-9/fulltext

Obviously Trump is not solely to blame for this though. I think Dems would have handled this somewhat better but still pretty shittily. Really the vast majority of deaths could have been avoided in most western countries if it weren't for the terrible systems as a whole. Vietnam is densely populated with 100 million people and literally only had 35 deaths.

I mean like 80% of the time you see someone with "support our troops" it's a Republican, and 99% of the people with thin blue lines are Republicans

But Dems definitely do worships soldiers too, just not as much. For cops it depends

This was printed in 2015 btw. Apparently it's popular among homeschoolers.

Another passage says "The First Nations peoples moved to areas called reserves, where they could live undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of the settlers."

Edit: they might have fixed it due to backlash?

The publisher, Popular Book Company Canada, released a statement on social media saying they were issuing an immediate recall of the books. They vowed to engage First Nations communities “to assist us in understanding how best to write about this part of Canada’s history so that our materials are accurate.” They also said they would be implementing a more thorough review process to ensure accuracy of published material.

    it was actually:

    1. it was mainly established by marx

    2. cold war was communism vs capitalism

    3. the red scare turned artists into enemies

    4. it's idyllic in theory but pretty rough in practice

    5. communism helped and hurt the civil rights movement in america (their argument was basically during the cold war people saw racial equality as communist and thus were turned away from it?)
