Pretty sure vocal pitch dictates gender in the game. Which is...uhh...fuckin' dumb, but whatever, I guess.

It would have been trivial to just, ya know, let you pick your pronouns? But I guess that was a step to far for them 🙄
Probably just locked in the voice lines and realized they weren’t going to go back and redo them with alternate pronouns so they said fuck it and cut corners by just tying the lines to voice actor

no, there is a gender selection, but it is only male/female, vocal pitch does nothing

Romance is determined by assigned gender, vocal pitch is pronouns, I think
That must have been added in an update because it was definitely based on vocal pitch when I started.
