for some dumb reason, I'm always much warmer while asleep than while awake. the second I wake up, I'm shivering and piling on the blankets but, while I'm half asleep, I'm practically sweating if I'm under too many blankets. this started with estrogen and I have never heard anyone describe anything similar. it's so effing weird and it means I spend 30 min shivering every morning while my body goes from asleep body temp -> awake body temp. please send help.

Wait okay I can describe something similar, I also get so much warmer when I'm falling asleep, which is why I get cocky and sleep topless or with a fan on and wake up as a Remsickle 🥶 I never learn.

Not sure if it has to do with estrogen, we've got a sample size of two here. I always just thought it had to do with living in apartments with bad insulation or something.

I don't know! it never used to happen to me to the degree that it does now and it's been progressively getting worse the longer I've been on E. stg I'm a furnace while asleep and freezing when I wake up.

          (also @Rem)

That sounds like it could be: https://www.healthline.com/symptom/night-sweats

It is possible that adjusting E dosage would improve this, but more likely adding progesterone.

I would recommend ProgesterAll cream or equivalent, same dose as menopause is fine.
If you get another brand, or via doctor, just make sure it is actually progesterone; other progestins are often sold and prescribed, because pharma companies are evil, but those commonly cause heath issues.
Apparently progesterone suppositories are good too, also as sleep aid, but have not tried those myself.

(for references about progesterone see for example dr will powers lecture, specifically this clip on progesterone)
