"There's lot of uncertainty here" in a panicked voice as he tries to analyze the collapse of neo-liberalism, with the intellectual framework of neoliberalism.

It's pretty funny, because its the most serious attempt I've heard to analyze the situation completely straight faced from libs, but basically no use of words like "facist" "capitalism" "material conditions" and other words that are basically the entire reason it's all happening.

These poor poor souls, trying to explain why it's demons and not germs that are making the king sick.

I think Nate deserves a little bit of credit because in the lead up to the election he actually took the threat of electoral interference serious and he clearly sees the seriousness of the situation but lacks the tools to truly diagnose the cause. I don't think he will be a comrade anytime soon but we will need sympathetic libs to fight fascsim.

My money is on Nate Silver joining fascists if he had to choose between that and fighting them. He has a very anti-left, centrist fundamentalist record.

He's the kind of person who would back Hindenburg but deny enabling Hitler's rise

sure, who else will stab us in the back? I mean, im an anarchist, so I have communist friends for that, hopefully they use fun toys, but what about the communists? who will stab THEM in the back, if not libs?
