I sort of hate to be that guy, but being a non-lemmy grad user, is there a wiki article or something so that I could know what this is referring to? I'm a bit out of the loop

Don't worry about not knowing anything about "patriotic socialism", it's a total joke with not many followers.

Haz and Maupen are jokes, but more insidious are those like PCUSA and MWM who pretend to be MLs and draw in potential comrades by letting settlers keep their biases.

the rubbish pile is based actually so-true

We posted the same thing at the same time, lol. A testament to the ubiquity of prolewiki in this space.

Patriotic "socialism" is basically just "MAGA communists" but unironically. But also instead of reading any left wing theory they just cherry pick quotes to pretend that you can be pro american and a communist at the same time (they're also pretty queerphobic and racist).

No real communists take them seriously at all.

I wasn’t talking about the openly racist and queerphobic type, I was talking about the ones that hide it most of the time until the topic of the “ultra left” comes up. Refer to this: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/595124
