  • I want to read more of the thought from that time period, because it definitely seems to coincide with the Americans having nuclear weapons at a time when the soviets didn't- I can see the rationale to not want to be contesting something that is so essential that it risks a wider war, but by getting bluffed into inaction they effectively surrendered in the long run.

I am asking all of my trans siblings who are avid Vaush fans to please grow brains, this is interminable

Another personal example I have is that one of the most reactionary people I know is my brother (self-identified Christian nationalist who reposts Nazis on Twitter), and he has the most insanely racially diverse friend group (all men obviously) I have ever seen. Like it's to the point where conservatives could easily repost the selfies he takes with his friends and caption them as "this is what America will look like in 20 years if the radical left wins" or some shit like that.

Assimiliation is like that, if you personally identify as white and "one of the good ones" you will earn your spot as one of the last ones tossed onto the pyre.

GOP politicians are ludicrously right wing but when I look at the people voting for them around me, do I think that they actually have it in them to participate in a fucking purge of the social undesirables in their town? Hell no.

The people cheering on the occupation of Palestine could never do such a thing hell naw i-love-not-thinking

Liberals or conservatives if they identify you as from/supporting an enemy country you are dead to them no matter your pronouns

  • expressed disgust that people claiming to be in their 30s and 40s are manipulating "young aduls and even kids". claims that only people with a "seriously damaged worldview" could be a part of hexbear at that age.

"Seriously damaged worldview" makes me sound so cool and mysterious commiku

  • And we can get 90% of that value without a single human stepping foot on the given body

Considering the toll long-term low gravity takes on people it's almost certain that's going to be the case. Having human habitats there is a lot of unnecessary complexity, but maintaining healthy humans in those conditions is categorically worse.
