A notable victim of the "keep milking the cash cow forever" mindset. Not many movies have the luxury of doing what they need to well then fucking off within two entries.
I did like the one from a couple years ago with old Sarah and the hybrid liquid/exoskeleton terminator. I would sacrifice that one for them to have not made all the other ones after 2 though.
T1 and T2 were perfect movies. Really a shame they started piling garbage on. Same with first 2 alien movies
