Fwiw they were defending Uber as a service that could be nationalized, not as it exists now, against regular taxis and because its safer for small drunken ladies at night time. I also hate phones and cars in general more than is reasonable
That's a totally different thing than defending Uber lol. Also America will need a transitional transportation solution as our ENTIRE build world is designed around cars. Something like a nationalized taxi service while public transport is built up will be necessary.
