There are "lefties" in my mentions running interference for Saddam's government because I posted a piece about their development of nuclear weapons, claiming the topic could promote war with Iraq. Making that jump implies... another agenda.

If your political ideology works backwards from a static, dogmatic belief that a government developing weapons of mass destruction should be above reproach because of some amorphous greater good that is very specific to your own sensibilities, maybe its time to ground your politics in reality.

Reality is when millions of human beings die preventable deaths every year, and the idea that anything else can happen is just impractical sweaty.

      I fucking hate libs.

I was to the point of tears watching that documentary on poverty alleviation in China just to look over and see these liberal fucks, doing nothing for anybody, just regurgitating CIA propaganda. Fucking pathetic.

The only "static, dogmatic belief" I hold about a government is that the United States' will manipulate anyone and twist anything to further the interests of imperialists.

Is anyone suggesting it’s war mongering? It’s imperialist political posturing and propaganda, but is anyone seriously wanting to go to war? It would be a catastrophe, and we don’t stand a chance. Cold War yes, they want that, but a hot war?

Edit: to add to this/clarify, I don’t think any leftist is suggesting it is warmongering for a hot war, nor do I think the foreign policy ghouls are doing that.

I think this is all in service of the cold war. Very little chance either nation is willing to let this boil over into a full-scale war. Maybe some skirmishes. But I really don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

It's been happening for a decade lol, half the reason the US doesn't want to leave the middle east is because they want to kick sand at China.

China's belt and road initiative with countries around the world is going to be big in the coming years. US is frantically trying to keep itself and the dollar on top. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/01/28/china-foreign-policy-long-telegram-anonymous-463120
