I mean fuck when I was a kid I asked a salesperson if I could try on a pair of pretty androgynous "girl's shoes" and basically got the same response--"Oh those are girls shoes"--which added years to the repression clock lol. Anyways my point in sharing this is that you're a strong person to go through that and still be comfortable expressing yourself!
