Reminder that Obama offered Social Security cuts as part of one of those dumbshit grand bargains and Biden is considerably to his right. I would bet, well, the entire Social Security Trust Fund that Biden is going to agree to Bush's 2007 privatization scheme and the Blue MAGA crowd will go along with it because the alternative is this shit from Trump.

I think his idea is that his supporters don't make the connection between the payroll tax and the social security and Medicare benefits they pay for. And they would probably find a way to phase out the benefits so people don't notice it until 2025.
