I just got this game for my phone. It’s pretty fun. The game is pretty relaxing.

Stardew is on phones now? Wow. I smashed like three or four years when it came out on xbox, pretty much “finished” the game I guess, did all the community chest and got married and was at the point where I was making a ridiculous amount of money per day, fell away from it after that

I have it on PC, phone, and switch. It is the only way nowadays to scratch the harvest moon itch imo

I played it on pc, as i understand you can see the town flourish and defeat wallmart with your organic locally produced stuff.

I have played it. It's cool. Personally I think the dev bit off more than he could chew, though. I don't know if you're familiar with the history of Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons / Rune Factory, but it really feels like he just tried to make the game to beat all those games and do everything they do, and didn't really think about whether certain aspects actually fit in his game or were necessary. imo it resulted in a bit of an unfocused and ultimately shallow game compared to what it was trying to emulate.

But that was, of course, a long time ago. I know it's been getting big updates for a long time, and it does have multiplayer now which is completely unique in its genre. So that's cool. I hope this analysis is no longer correct.

To get to the point though, I highly recommend Rune Factory 4 if you enjoy Stardew Valley. imo it's a better game.

Yeah, I played it on PC a couple years ago and I loved it. I think I have 85 hours on it.

I've played through the first year a couple times. But then I get bored because there's only a few more things left to do in the community center and I don't feel like waiting until fall of year two to check off the last kind of fish or pumpkin or whatever.

the game is adorable and gives me some gaming equivalent of ASMR. i just hated how when i first played it i min/maxed the hell out of my farm and basically ruined my gameplay because i didn't realize the economy was so simple. i want to forget how to play it, go back later and just make a farm for fun with a variety of crops
