But also it’s not about getting people to buy it, it’s about muddying the waters. People might not think this is real. They probably know how obviously fake this is, but the existence of all of the fake accounts hints at this fight being less than straightforward and that feeds the “both sides” narrative. They might also now think that the pro-union side is also flooded with bots by big union or some shit, which doesn’t really make sense but it doesn’t have to; sowing distrust in both sides is a win for the status quo.
A hundred thousand bot accounts will retweet, like, and promote this messaging ad nauseum. Eventually, it'll catch the eye of enough white collar shills and wine moms and become a "thing".
That's just how internet propaganda works, now. It's not a matter of buying or not buying the message. It's a matter of visibility. Do you have a million followers? Do you get promoted by The Algorithm so everyone can see and hear you? Then you're the person leading the conversation.
