Been trying to tell some European sucdem friends of mine how their welfare state is indeed based on exploitation of the global south (cheap credit and all that) and thus on a bad day my sympathy for its erosion by European chuds and Yank fetishizers can be somehow limited. They get trigged every time.
I'd like to know how European soc-dem societies exploit the global south. Is it stuff like outsourcing labor and resources?
That but also the ability to borrow money/issue public debt at a cheap rate thanks to their control/relative hegemonic position in the global financial market and institutions.

It sucks and it has been disintegrating into ethno-nationalism and neoliberalism ever since the USSR ceased bearing a threat and globalisation made outsourcing of production possible.
Scandinavian workers have it better than American but social democratic welfare states are held up by inertia and social democracy has lost all ability and will to actually further the emancipation of the working class.
