I'd have 4 main solutions I can think of, and that can be used together if needed:

VMs for running Steam and for games that MUST use Steam.
Emulators, wrappers and source ports for games that allow that, e.g. BSNES for running River Girls Zero, Joiplay / Artemis / EasyRPG / AquariaOSE for games that use compatible engines, etc.
Having a separated computer you can use 100% offline (requires sideloading games)
The annoying idea some users give that strays from the original question, but that I think that is valid for once - to get the games from places that openly distribute it DRM free

Mint seems decent all around. No cutting edges nor it's specialized in any areas, but it's a jack of all trades, and rather stable.

The text is obtuse and the article's title and cover are pretty clickbaity, so here's a tl;dr:
In the US, according to the article, it's possible to lend multiple forms of digital medias and software as you'd do with physical medias. But when requested to extend this understanding to games too, the US Copyright Office denied the change.

Há a possibilidade de que fossem atores pagos esse povo provocando em redes sociais maiores. Fazem ruído suficiente para expor um problema, ou pelo menos fazer parecer que há um. E pensando em potenciais porquês de fazer isso para o Biden mas não para a Kamala, se for isso realmente de atores pagos, pode ser que tenham feito isso para queimar o Biden de vez, já que este há vários anos já não demonstrava estar em plenas faculdades mentais, e viabilizar a Kamala.

Secure boot aparentemente é usado mais por sistemas centralizados, vide Windows, para garantir a legitimidade do software e/ou se foi modificado, o que, no meu entendimento, não se aplica a sistemas modulares e que podem ser modificados por qualquer um como a maioria dos sistemas Linux. E também, quando se mexe com dual boot, máquinas virtuais e afins, o secure boot muitas mais atrapalha do que ajuda, então pessoalmente, recomendo deixar desligado a não ser que precise usar um Windows da vida.

Launchers should do just that, to launch the game. Doing anything other than that is, before anything, a repurposing of the word.

And regarding this specific game, I didn't see the whole struggle so I don't even know which game it is, but in case it is officially sold anywhere DRM-free, I strongly suggest going for that, wherever it may be.

Safest measure, from what I understand, is to completely replace the system for a vanilla one - that is, without any software from Google or related - and then install alternatives unrelated to the datahoarding companies.

Outra coisa que pode fazer também é baixar as músicas que gosta e deixar tocando num VLC da vida. Além de ferramentas para baixar de serviços como do youtube, também existem serviços que vendem as músicas, tipo o já mencionado Bandcamp, o ITunes da Apple, e a loja japonesa Ototoy. Acaba saindo mais caro, mas pelo menos você não depende da boa vontade da empresa toda vez que quer acessar a música, e depois de baixar, pode continuar usufruindo mesmo se a empresa deixar de existir.

Se não me engano, tudo no Youtube Music tem no Youtube normal, então talvez poderia usar o Grayjay? Ele agrega alguns serviços de vídeo e música, como Youtube, Spotify, Soundcloud, e por extensão de terceiros, Bandcamp. Só, especificamente quanto ao Youtube, direto a Google está tentando quebrar a usabilidade de ferramentas não oficiais, então paciência se a ferramenta que você for escolher começar a ter problemas com a compatibilidade com o Youtube.

On a serious note, I think there are valid reasons to have several VMs other than "I was bored". In my case, for example, I have a total of 7 VMs, where 2 are miscellaneous systems to test things out, 2 are for stuff that I can't normally run on Linux, 2 are offline VMs for language dictionaries, and 1 is a BlissOS VM with Google programs in case I can't/don't want to use my phone.
