  • There's a variety of reasons why someone might not groom themselves and wind up with a neckbeard that doesn't involve the stereotype, and mocking anyone on their appearance might hurt other people who look like that that are reading what you're saying. That's the take I've seen I'm not sure if that's what was explained to Beatnik

  • According to the congressional calendar, the house is going on recess starting today until the 21st, and the senate until the 20th. Unless they decide to declare an emergency over this and force everyone to come in, the ball won't even start rolling. It's purely performative, but they are going to be able to slide that past a lot of people

  • Nah it's actually incredibly easy to divorce the two when you've trained your audience to reject it every time they catch a whiff of it and the government is doing the same. Most of these viewers will walk away from this segment still holding a negative view of communism (cause it's instictiual) but have a few ideas wrattling around their head that can be played on later by media/politicians.

Ideally, we'd be the ones taken those ideas this gives them and run with it, but on a practical level outside of talking to Fox viewers you know about this segment the reach won't be there. Meanwhile someone could easily pick almost all the points up as a platform, slap "for Real Americans™ " on it and they'd have a primed audience. Stuff like this is like the mentality behind advistersting, you want to establish a passive voice in someone's head through saturation and then play on that later. I'm rambling now but I hope you see what I mean

  • Very surface level answer- capitalism will inevitably collapse on itself, and when it does either the proletariat will sieze power for themselves, or the bourgeois will try to hold on to their power while eliminating any threat to themselves and directing people to look elsewhere for solutions to their problems, this results in fascism

Generally yeah, just make one a lil damp and drape it over the bowl beforehand and it'll help. Depends a bit on the food/bowl/microwave in question. But if your bowls are super duper hot in under a minute they aren't really meant to be in the microwave and they are basically stealing all the warmth your food could be getting
