Gotta love the old “blackface in Europe only has origins in racism but not so much anymore” reasoning. Real bulletproof logic there.

Our AC was finally fixed on Friday. It’s been nice not having to sleep and play in just our kids’ bedroom where I put a window unit. I somehow managed to get a full refund on the window unit yesterday when I returned it!
This morning our toddler and I made almond flour pancakes. My partner and our baby helped. We added blueberries like Curious George does in one of our books.
With the way things are going we’d better hope this is the way it works.
Same with people who drive without shoes.
I’m always amazed by how much of the neoliberal economy is held up by ads. Producers want people to buy their products so bad that they literally throw away hundreds, thousands, millions of dollars so that 1.0% of us rubes might click a link or go to a drive-thru.
My brother works in marketing. He’s explained the ROI for ads. I just don’t believe it. It’s a fucking shell game.
Neat! Hope your pencils stay busy!
No I like it that size. I imagine the upper windows are just a clearstory and the inside is huge.
I like the stone lintels. And the belt course and cornice are neat on such a small scale. They all look kind of Italianate.
It’s been quite a long time since I took an architectural history course, but do you happen to live in a Midwestern city?
I like the rendering of the facade. Looks like it was drawn from life.
The scale for the upper story is so cute!
Being an alleged grown up, I think you can say it whenever you want.
And my students aren’t cool. They’re “gegagedigedagedago,” which I believe means something slightly different.
Are you three children in a trench coat?
I can’t not picture you as one of my 11-year-old students, who refer to their friends at the same table as “chat.”
Not immediately throwing my clothes in a wash and showering when I got home like usual. That small mistake resulted in a months long battle with bedbugs. Never again.
Please, I want off this ride.
Kind of pointless when you realize babies already understand concepts like securities and compound interest. Has he never seen Dreamworks Boss Baby?
Pretty sure that’s just a regular American toad. As long as you wash your hands after gently picking it up you should be fine. Also do not place the toad directly in your mouth.
Literally the same with our one-year-old kid 2. I think it’s because they’re dropping their morning nap. I remember with our first this transition being a lot easier, but each kid is different I guess. Kind of amazing how even the smallest things can be wildly different between kids.
How’re we doing with the heat? Our A/C compressor turned into a solid block of ice last night after being serviced two weeks ago. So, not well!
Here I am, a foolish westerner, who had no idea Lake Laogai got its name from real world reeducation camps.
I know Bryke are big libs with their creation. Still love their flawed franchise. Even Korra. Actually especially Korra. But I kinda want to go through the shows and books (not the comic books because they’re hopeless) with a fine toothed comb to see what other red scare references there are.
I’d personally put socialism on the balcony and communism on some kind of orbital space laser. But then again I haven’t read enough theory to back this up.
This probably isn’t as bad, but there’s an app I allow my toddler to play every once in a while that prevents them from accidentally going to other apps or making calls. Well, except one app. There’s a special tree in the game’s overworld that lights up with sparkles that takes you to the app store.
Flip the canvas? Without seeing what you’re working on it’s kinda hard to give advice.
