How many people are involved in administration/moderation/development, respectively?

A week ago I asked for transparency in what the donation resources are going to. I would be happy to know that y'all spend some of the donations on yourselves. Pay yourselves from it. Throw yourselves a corporate pizza party. This shit is stressful. I want no part in being a mod. I just want to help in the most benign, bougie way possible.

I'm not trying to spread drama, just draw comparisons to what people are complaining about here. The discord server has seen many people abandon it over the heavy handed manner mods handle disagreements. I was granted a warning without any explanation and had to ask for clarification. I wouldn't be so butthurt about it if a mod had messaged me and said "look, we're doing this because this, and this violates our new rules, which are in place to make the server more accessible to women". I get it, I agree with it, I'll stop posting it. Calm begets calm.

Yes and no. I ultimately understand why memes like that aren't allowed, and I support the mod team's decision to ban them. But the way the mod team handles things like this, with little to no communication, is frustrating. Mutes and warnings should come with an explanation. There's a history of this being a problem there.

I love both communities equally. I try to be active in both communities equally, and I support the moderation staff of both communities in doing a difficult job for free. That being said, mod accountability on the discord isn't perfect, and the discourse between mods and users is often strained.

I know you guys don't exactly have a lot of cash flow, but I'm curious as to how you use the donations you do get. Are you guys barely covering server costs? Are you guys subsidizing out of your own pockets because the donations aren't enough? I started donating a few weeks ago. I wouldn't mind donating more, but I'm mostly just curious. I like it here.

I started going to the gym again instead of working out at home and nobody wears masks. Like, 1/8 of the people at the gym are wearing masks. At best.

The funniest part are the massive increase in people carrying around sanitizing spray (as opposed to pre-pandemic) to clean off equipment. I guess its only worth defending against a threat you can see?
