Thanks for the sources. However, these don't really support the point. For "run by them and filled by them", I would expect more than a right wing party barely passing the 5% and someone claiming that they can mobilize 0.1% of the population.

This is literally an example of what happens when there is no free press at all. Sure it may be flawed but the alternative is waaay worse. I'm not saying that the US did not partake in it, just that the UDSSR did it so much worse
I don't think it is a delusion at all.
But even if you think of it as a mental health issue. Wouldn't it be more helpful to treat them in a way that makes them more comfortable? Just basic human decency. At least for me, I would feel uncomfortable or maybe even slightly offended when someone would treat me as a another gender, I don't feel part of, especially if they know better. (Not LGBTQIA, so I can't say much about that).
