My girlfriend said if we end up having kids down the road she wants to move back to Texas to be close to friends and family. On the one hand, yeah, having that kind of support network would make things so much easier. But on the other, God am I really not crazy about the idea of spending the rest of my life in this fucking state.
We live in Houston now, but are planning on moving elsewhere within the next 2-3 years. I guess I had always thought and hoped that move would be permanent. I’m not from here and never planned on staying long-term.
We’re talking about something that wouldn’t happen for 5+ years. There’s so much that can change between now and then. Am I freaking out over nothing?

Welp, I got COVID. Even fully vaxxed and boosted, I knew it was only a matter of time. Girlfriend tested positive last week, so I’m assuming that’s where I caught it.
