Requiring my call center employees to submit 10-15 personal photos to their manager through their work email where their pictures of their loved ones will be stored on a corporate database or else they face disciplinary action

  • I’m in a similar boat. I was laid off last year from my white collar job and my responsibilities were doled out between several people using ChatGPT. It took me six months to find a new job, and it pays leas than what I made five years ago for the same title. I believe my layoff would have happened regardless of LLM use, but now companies have another reason to not hire someone with my skill set (translation and writing) because the robots can do it “well enough” (total dogshit)

Already at my new job they’re talking about “integrating AI” into my work and it just feels like the noose is tightening again

  • Been seeing a woman I met on a dating app for like a month and a half now. I realized that every time we talk it’s because I reach out first and every time we go out it’s because I make all the plans. I stopped texting her to see if she’d reach out to me and I haven’t heard from her in a week lmao

Maybe this seems like a shitty game to play but I also don’t want to be the only one in the relationship starting conversations or making plans
