  • The genocide of Palestine is what radicalized me. Well, the final step anyway. The 100% cumulative inflation over 4 years, along with my rent going up by $3600 a year for the last 4 years, along with my income decidedly not going up by 100% did most of the legwork.

I was a solidly progressive leaning liberal before I couldn’t ignore reality anymore.

I’m talking hating on China, shit talking working class folks, the whole nine yards. I voted for Biden in 2020.

But I just couldn’t reconcile in my mind how my fellow liberals could support this obvious genocide so wholeheartedly with a smile on their face.

And here I am. One less Harris vote and one more PSL vote.

  • Sorry if I’m lacking reading comprehension, typing this out on the clock -

As someone extremely familiar with common ‘olelo and its usage, “kumu” is never used to imply attractiveness or sexiness. It means teacher and carries a nuance of respect as teachers, especially elder ones, are very valued in native Hawaiian culture which carries over to the colonized state today (not in terms of pay due to colonization, but respect).

  • Liberals genuinely have lost the ability to distinguish reality from fiction, and you can see a microcosm of it in the fascist Lemmy instances.

Conservatives tell them one thing, they can easily discard it in favor of facts and logic. So they abandon the working class.

The Party tells them one thing, leftists prove them wrong with the logic and facts they used to value so highly. So they abandon facts and logic.

The US State Dept tells them one thing, yet reality itself disproves it. So they abandon reality.

They clutch their ballots and throw their tantrums and hysterics about voting because that’s the one thing they have left that is real. They can fill in a little bubble and know they did the Good Thing and are on the Good Side and everyone else telling them mean things are the Bad Side.

  • To be fair, some $295 trifle of an accessory is pretty reasonable considering their dozens of acres of Hawaiian beachfront property spread across multiple compounds, including historic Hawaiian heritage sites that they promptly helped destroy by being part of the insufferable sea wall folks who destroy beaches for everyone to keep a little bit of their land a little longer

Both parties are NoT ThE SaMe indeed.

He literally made T-Pain’s jaw drop and go speechless when he told him what neighborhood his mansion full of Gucci and gold was in

I truly understand Hasan’s role he claims to have. I hope this isn’t taken as argument bait, overall I’d rather have his voice and takes in the twitch cesspool than not. And you know what, he should absolutely be paid for it.

I like nice things too, comrades. I just can’t reconcile that amount of lavish excess and spending. A nice house is one thing, a celebrity mansion is quite another.
