  • Most Americans in my experience don’t know what either word means. If you use either one they just make up something seemingly on vibes.

It’s a little more interesting when you describe policy without using the words.

Describe something communists would do: “Ya that sounds good we should do that.” Call it communism: “That’s a bad idea.”

Describe something fascists would do: “That’s evil” Call it fascism: “Not everything is fascism.”

Some people even use the words interchangeably as if they mean the same thing.

  • I’m agnostic these days, mostly because I don’t claim to know anything about what happens to you after you die. Nobody fucking knows and claiming you are certain “nothing” happens is just the other side of the “faith” coin.

Which is funny, I am a “nothing happens” believer but I wouldn’t call myself an atheist. It’s just way too presumptuous and arrogant imo.

Additional hot take: if someday atheism became a larger movement it would absolutely be capable of reproducing many of the same atrocities made in the name of religion

Not sustainable for who? Cheap advertising is sustainable, preferable for companies even. The people getting paid poorly to hawk Hello Fresh might have some sustainability issues but they’re just the same old standard Capitalism issues.

I don’t know, this person maybe saying “Capitalism isn’t sustainable” and that was the point they were making. But it reads like a normie shitting on people trying to get by.
