  • There are a lot of applications for AI that has nothing to do with art and which the average person doesn't really need to worry about - things like number crushing, boring statistics stuff, etc. It's just that the bazinga brains over at those corporations felt the need to make it into the hot new trend, even though for most people it's at best a novelty that you'll get bored of in a day, and a plagiarism machine at worst.

  • kot [they/them]togamesWhy are there so many bad horror games?

I think it's because a lot of them were made by/for children and for the streamers they watch. After PewDiePie and other similar streamers started playing Amnesia and after FNAF became a thing there was just a flood of them, mostly trying to cash in on the trend.

Terfs when Nazis talk about murdering minorities: "Guys this is valuable free speech that deserves protection"
Terfs when someone talks about punching Nazis: "How dare you! I will protect Nazis with my life"
If talking about punching nazis makes you more upset than when nazis talk about doing nazi shit maybe you're just a fucking nazi.

  • What makes the problem worse is that theyre power fantasies written specifically for bitter straight men who think they were overlooked. The audience is basically otaku/incels, which means the wish fulfilment fantasies are always horrible shit like owning slaves or getting back at all the evil women who wronged you. Also I don't think there's much of a difference between the average isekai and the run of the mill generic fantasy anime anymore, it seems to me that they are the same thing for the most part. The only difference is whether the guy was a loser before dying irl or if he's a loser because his fantasy power sucks.

  • Learning things is good. It's also good that schools still teach things like that, it's great that kids have the opportunity to learn a second language, especially if they're anglophones, since those tend to live in a bubble. Even learning Latin is good, it makes you think about grammar and language itself in ways you wouldn't otherwise. The way capitalist education is headed they might not teach these things for very long, since they're "useless".
