  • the correct approach to trade is just move boats and merchants around randomly until you like your trade income.

also upgrade centers of trade, slap marketplaces down on mid/high dev provinces, move your trade capital to the richest downstream node that you can actually compete in, use the flagship trade buffs and hunt pirates in your best node(s).

don't collect in more than one node unless you really have a weird set-up, like you might as a merchant republic.

bully weaker nations into giving you their trade. Make your marches give you their trade.

Still, there was no precedent for disallowing a sitting president from appointing a Supreme Court Justice. Refusing to hold the hearing was a clear loophole/exploitation which the Dems should have combated on every front possible if they were actually concerned with exercising their electoral mandate(s)

Their argument was largely "he already appointed 2!" and then Trump gets to chuck 3 in there within a single 4 year term with McConnell still in the senate. And I'm not complaining about the hypocrisy, I'm complaining about how fucking useless the dems are.

That particular event was when I realized that bourgeoisie democracy was an absolute farce.

  • Stress/anxiety reached absurd levels recently which had physical pain tolls for nearly an entire week. Thank god I had a decent support network and medical insurance or it may have been 10 times worse.

Still paranoid that the symptoms (nerve pain) may return...

Trying to just chill and relax so they don't but the stress and anxiety ultimately stem from material long-term dilemmas that need to resolve - so I guess it will be a balancing act of moderation (which I'm terrible at!).

  • I really struggle with interfacing with the job market, too. It really sucks and conjures up some insta-depression.

Something that has helped me a bit is having a close friend who is good at that type of thing, that I am able to be fully vulnerable with, help me get my resume and interview skills polished.

Even better if you can return the favor by helping them with something that they need help with.

Since you don't have reliable transit keep your eyes peeled for WFH options. Lots of customer service roles are going remote (tech support for instance).

    good luck
