I think you can really see it in Curb. Larry is obviously self-centered and petty and such but while he unapologetically himself his own show also portrays him as in the wrong in so many ways.

Never would have thought George would be the one to look up to 20+ years later.

Dr bronners for skin and hair (I have very thick indian hair in jata style dreadlocks down to my knees). For a long time I used a charcoal based face wash (lush until they changed their formula for coal face, then some similar brand I found on amazon) but for whatever odd reason after a few years my skin stopped tolerating it and kept breaking out, so I switched to Kate Somerville's sulfur face wash which works wonders (but does have a bit of a smell to it unfortunately).

Which is nuts to me, 10 - 20 years 95% of those people were very left wing, or at least primitivist. Basically you can track what happened to JP Spears and see that writ large across western culture.

Ohhh story time! When Carter won the nobel prize I lived in Norway. Was flying back to Michigan and the flight from Oslo to Sweden got super held up. They apologized and came on the intercom to say there was a VIP and he wanted to apologize for making everybody late. Jimmy Carter comes walking down the aisle shaking everybody's hands. He got to me, I was so hungover from the night before as to still be drunk, natty dreadlocks etc. I realized what was going on, shook his hand and said "I really dig your work in Cuba, man." He laughed and said "thank you son".

Definitely best president in my lifetime.

There are 4 of us. We always play on immortal with a few ai. Usually Terra map. Probably not looking for new players but maybe not wholly opposed. We usually play Friday and/or Saturday starting 9pm or so (pacific), depending on the game and whatever going until 2 or 3. So never actually finishing the game except a few times a year we'll do the same but in person LAN party style. Then we can usually start before 6pm and play until 4am or so and actually finish. My steam handle is same as lemmy if you want to join sometime.

We do a draft with normal exclusions https://www.randomciv.com/ so everybody gets to pick from 3 (except the banned ones). Adds a bit more variety but not as wild as random pick.

I still play civ 5 at least weekly with a few friends. Honestly no mods just all the Gods and Kings and BNW expansions, and whatever DLCs you get when you buy the complete game. I'm at close to 1000 hours on steam, of the group I play with I'm the lowest (one guy has like 3500 hours of Civ V, pretty wild).

Tldr the game still really holds up. Multi-player FFA is still really annoying as people rage quit all the time. But if you get a good group to play with it is quite the game!
