Just got off the phone with the HR lady.
I shocked them by asking double my pay, Going hard on this one, cause even if I dont get it, I have set the playing field, but also I have more leeway to settle on literally anything better than what I'm making right now.
Unfortunately the HR lady is out of the office. so this ultimately went nowhere until the "let me talk to the VP and we'll see what we what we can do" thing happens. Then I have a sales guy call me to ask questions pertaining to new clients coming in, and I'm doing everything I can to squeeze out any rate information to arm myself.

Sometimes I used to hate watch her show. I stopped last year and now I can't even stand her voice for more than a couple minutes.
In my favorite episode waaaaaaaay back in mid 2018(?) - she started with a tease: "There is something surprising about North Korean and... Russia." And then she talked on and on for ~15 minutes until she said "And after the break - I'll tell you about North Korean and... Russia." The ads went on for ~3 minutes and then when she was back she made the audience wait about another ~2 minutes before she finally got to the point: "They share a border!"
I'll never understand why the libs love her so much. Her shtick never changes and it's exhausting. She's like a one person podcast on video. She doesn't even bring in extra people when she needs to. I'm not exaggerating - she'll read court transcripts word for word like a child playing tea party. I don't know if she doesn't give a fuck or she is totally oblivious to how ridiculous she can be...
