      Agreed on both points.

And loved how he encapsulated the 'nice guy' once Cassie made it clear she was done.

I wish they did more with the male love interest. It made him really fuckin creepy (cause theres no way he didn't remember that happening) and a more interesting character than the frat guy villains it ended with. Especially since the ending is the weakest part of the movie.

Anyways I enjoyed watching it but the movie falls apart the more you think about it. The cop ending is dumb and the shifts in tone from Deathwish to 2000s chic flick to whatever the hell the last 30 minutes were didn't work very well.

At least the cops were shown to be just as shitty as everyone else and she had to literally die in order to get any sort of justice.

I thought the ending is kinda perfect-

cops don't give a shit/can't do anything about rape. They need murders to play hero. She gave them the only way to get the rapists. She's a martyr 100% and I get why that leaves a sour taste in people's mouths- the idea that she can't get justice any other way- but the discussion with the friend's mother shows she's probably not going to move past this any other way. Especially after Bo's reveal basically radicalised her even further.

I loved the choice in casting. Really helped explore the biases viewers can have.

The subject matter was hard to watch, but it felt worth it for the story itself. The movie had the right balance between subtle and blatant in different parts of the movie.

I saw it blind, didn't know anything about the movie. And I'm glad I did it that way because I don't think I would watch it otherwise.

I think it's really good that I unfortunately don't feel good recommending to people because of the subject matter. I had to cool down for a bit after because at times it made me feel really uneasy and almost sick but its probably just me lol

I can definitely tell you it's not just you. I feel this is the proper first mainstream movie in a while where I genuinely think there should be some kind of warning for the audience haha
